Terms of Service

Read this part if nothing else: Ready suggests what to wear based on a weather forecast. Forecasts are often wrong. Ready is not a safety tool and must not be relied on in severe weather or any situation where being dressed wrongly could hurt you. Always use your own judgment and check an official forecast when conditions matter.
1. Agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and Damian Jeremy Cordova Campos ("we", "us") governing your use of the Ready application. By using Ready, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use Ready.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ready.
2. What Ready is — and is not
Ready is a free, experimental, non-commercial pilot. It takes a weather forecast for a period you specify and suggests clothing.
Ready is not:
- a weather service, a forecasting authority, or a source of severe-weather warnings;
- medical, health, safety, occupational, or professional advice of any kind;
- a reliable alarm, alert, or reminder system you should depend on.
3. Forecast accuracy
Weather data comes from Open-Meteo, a third-party service. We do not produce it, verify it, or control it. Forecasts are inherently uncertain and are frequently inaccurate, especially further into the future. Ready's suggestions are generated by simple rules applied to that data and may be unsuitable for your actual circumstances, health, activity, or location.
You are solely responsible for deciding what to wear and for checking authoritative sources when weather conditions could affect your safety.
4. Notifications are not guaranteed
If you enable reminders, they are delivered through your browser's push service and depend on your device, network, battery state, operating system settings, and third-party infrastructure we do not control. Reminders may be delayed, duplicated, or never arrive at all. Do not use Ready as your only reminder for anything that matters.
5. Availability
Ready runs on free hosting tiers and is offered on an as-available basis. We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue it — in whole or in part, for any user or for everyone — at any time and without notice or liability. We do not promise any uptime, and data loss is possible.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit unlawful, abusive, harassing, or infringing content through feedback or problem reports;
- submit other people's personal information through any free-text field;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its database, or other users' data;
- interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service, including automated scraping or flooding requests;
- misuse referral links, including creating installations solely to inflate referral counts.
We may remove content and block access for any violation.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of anything you write in feedback or problem reports. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it for operating and improving Ready. We may quote anonymised feedback internally or in reporting about the pilot; we will not attribute it to you, because we have no way to identify you.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ready is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited — including mandatory consumer protections under Ecuadorian or applicable state law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Ready — including any decision you make about clothing, travel, or activity based on it, and including any reminder that failed to arrive.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to Ready will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us to use Ready, which is zero, or (b) US$50.
We are not liable for the acts, omissions, outages, or security failures of third-party providers (including Cloudflare, Supabase, Open-Meteo, and push notification services), nor for any breach of their systems.
Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of Ready or your violation of these Terms or of any law.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence — which, for users in Ecuador and similar jurisdictions, it may.
Before filing anything, please contact damianjcordova@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally; most problems with a free pilot can be settled in an email.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the app, and the date above will change. Continuing to use Ready after that means you accept the new Terms.

Lee esto aunque no leas nada más: Ready sugiere qué ponerte según un pronóstico del clima. Los pronósticos se equivocan con frecuencia. Ready no es una herramienta de seguridad y no debe usarse como referencia en clima severo ni en ninguna situación donde vestirse mal pueda hacerte daño. Usa siempre tu propio criterio y consulta un pronóstico oficial cuando las condiciones importen.
1. Acuerdo
Estos Términos constituyen un acuerdo entre tú y Damian Jeremy Cordova Campos ("nosotros") que rige tu uso de la aplicación Ready. Al usar Ready, aceptas estos Términos y nuestra Política de Privacidad. Si no los aceptas, no uses Ready.
Debes tener al menos 13 años para usar Ready.
2. Qué es Ready y qué no es
Ready es un piloto gratuito, experimental y sin fines comerciales. Toma un pronóstico del clima para un período que tú indicas y sugiere ropa.
Ready no es:
- un servicio meteorológico, una autoridad de pronóstico ni una fuente de alertas de clima severo;
- asesoría médica, de salud, de seguridad, laboral ni profesional de ningún tipo;
- un sistema confiable de alarmas, alertas o recordatorios del que debas depender.
3. Precisión del pronóstico
Los datos del clima provienen de Open-Meteo, un servicio externo. No los producimos, no los verificamos y no los controlamos. Los pronósticos son inherentemente inciertos y con frecuencia inexactos, especialmente a mayor plazo. Las sugerencias de Ready se generan con reglas simples aplicadas a esos datos y pueden no ser adecuadas para tus circunstancias, salud, actividad o ubicación reales.
Eres la única persona responsable de decidir qué ponerte y de consultar fuentes oficiales cuando el clima pueda afectar tu seguridad.
4. Las notificaciones no están garantizadas
Si activas los recordatorios, se entregan mediante el servicio push de tu navegador y dependen de tu dispositivo, red, batería, ajustes del sistema operativo e infraestructura de terceros que no controlamos. Los recordatorios pueden retrasarse, duplicarse o no llegar nunca. No uses Ready como tu único recordatorio para algo importante.
5. Disponibilidad
Ready funciona en planes de alojamiento gratuitos y se ofrece según disponibilidad. Podemos cambiarlo, suspenderlo, limitarlo o descontinuarlo —total o parcialmente, para una persona o para todas— en cualquier momento, sin aviso ni responsabilidad. No prometemos ninguna disponibilidad y es posible que haya pérdida de datos.
6. Uso aceptable
Te comprometes a no:
- enviar contenido ilegal, abusivo, acosador o infractor mediante comentarios o reportes de problemas;
- enviar información personal de otras personas en ningún campo de texto libre;
- intentar acceder sin autorización al servicio, su base de datos o los datos de otras personas;
- interferir, sobrecargar o interrumpir el servicio, incluyendo extracción automatizada o saturación de solicitudes;
- abusar de los enlaces de referido, incluyendo crear instalaciones solo para inflar conteos.
Podemos eliminar contenido y bloquear el acceso ante cualquier incumplimiento.
7. Tu contenido
Conservas la propiedad de lo que escribas en comentarios o reportes. Nos otorgas una licencia no exclusiva y libre de regalías para usarlo con el fin de operar y mejorar Ready. Podemos citar comentarios de forma anonimizada de manera interna o en informes sobre el piloto; no los atribuiremos a ti, porque no tenemos forma de identificarte.
8. Exclusión de garantías
En la máxima medida permitida por la ley, Ready se proporciona "tal cual" y "según disponibilidad", sin garantías de ningún tipo, expresas, implícitas o legales, incluyendo cualquier garantía implícita de comerciabilidad, idoneidad para un fin determinado, no infracción, exactitud, u operación ininterrumpida o libre de errores.
Algunas jurisdicciones no permiten excluir ciertas garantías. En esos casos, las exclusiones anteriores aplican solo en la medida permitida, y nada en estos Términos limita derechos que no puedan limitarse legalmente, incluyendo las protecciones obligatorias al consumidor bajo la ley ecuatoriana o estatal aplicable.
9. Limitación de responsabilidad
En la máxima medida permitida por la ley, no seremos responsables por daños indirectos, incidentales, especiales, consecuentes, ejemplares o punitivos, ni por pérdida de datos, ganancias, reputación u oportunidades, derivados de o relacionados con tu uso (o imposibilidad de uso) de Ready, incluyendo cualquier decisión sobre ropa, viajes o actividades basada en él, e incluyendo cualquier recordatorio que no haya llegado.
Nuestra responsabilidad total acumulada por todas las reclamaciones relacionadas con Ready no excederá el mayor de (a) el monto total que nos hayas pagado por usar Ready, que es cero, o (b) USD 50.
No somos responsables por actos, omisiones, caídas o fallas de seguridad de proveedores externos (incluyendo Cloudflare, Supabase, Open-Meteo y los servicios de notificaciones push), ni por brechas en sus sistemas.
Nada aquí excluye la responsabilidad por fraude, negligencia grave, dolo, o muerte o lesiones personales causadas por negligencia, cuando dicha exclusión esté prohibida por la ley.
10. Indemnidad
Aceptas indemnizarnos y mantenernos indemnes frente a reclamaciones, pérdidas y costos legales razonables derivados de tu uso indebido de Ready o del incumplimiento de estos Términos o de cualquier ley.
11. Ley aplicable y controversias
Estos Términos se rigen por las leyes de el Estado de Massachusetts, EE. UU., sin considerar sus normas de conflicto de leyes. Los tribunales ubicados en el Estado de Massachusetts, EE. UU. tendrán jurisdicción exclusiva, salvo cuando la ley imperativa de protección al consumidor te otorgue el derecho de iniciar acciones en tu país de residencia, lo que puede ser el caso para personas usuarias en Ecuador y jurisdicciones similares.

12. Cambios
Podemos actualizar estos Términos. Los cambios sustanciales se mostrarán en la app y la fecha de arriba cambiará. Seguir usando Ready después de eso significa que aceptas los nuevos Términos.
