Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 September 2026

The short version: Ready has no accounts and never asks for your name, email, or payment details. Your exact location and your clothing preferences stay on your phone. If you turn on reminders, we store an approximate area (rounded to about 11 km) so the reminder can mention rain or cold. You can delete everything we hold at any time from Settings.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Ready is operated by Damian Jeremy Cordova Campos ("we", "us"), acting as the data controller. For any privacy question or request, contact damianjcordova@gmail.com.

Ready is currently a small, non-commercial pilot. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and we do not share data for cross-context behavioural advertising.

2. What stays only on your device

The following is stored in your browser's local storage and is never transmitted to us:

Clearing your browser data or using "Delete my data" in Settings removes all of it.

3. What we collect and why

Ready generates a random identifier on first use (an "installation ID"). It is not linked to your name or any account, but it is persistent, so we treat it as personal data rather than calling it anonymous.

WhatWhy
Installation ID, first/last active time, app version, language To count how many devices use Ready and whether people return
Feature usage events from a fixed list (app opened, checklist generated, reminder enabled, link shared, etc.) To understand which parts of Ready are actually used
Weather conditions and the checklist produced from them To check whether recommendations are sensible
Approximate location, rounded to one decimal degree (about 11 km), plus your timezone and reminder time — only if you enable reminders So a scheduled reminder can mention rain, cold, or heat, and arrive at the right local time
Push subscription details issued by your browser Required to deliver a notification to your device at all
Referral code, and whether a shared link led to a new install To see whether sharing works
Feedback you submit: a rating and any text you type To fix problems and decide what to build
Crash and error reports, including an error message, a short stack excerpt, and your browser's user-agent string To find and fix bugs
Timing of requests to the weather service To detect when the app is slow or failing

Please don't type personal details into feedback. The feedback and "report a problem" boxes are free text and we store whatever you write. Don't include your name, address, phone number, or anything you wouldn't want stored.

4. Your precise location and the weather service

This is the one case where precise data leaves your device, so we want to be explicit about it. To fetch a forecast, your browser sends your coordinates directly to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a third-party weather API, at roughly 11-metre precision. This request goes from your device to Open-Meteo — it does not pass through our servers, and we never receive or store those precise coordinates. Open-Meteo's own privacy terms govern that request.

Separately, and only if you turn on reminders, we store a deliberately coarsened version of your location (rounded to about 11 km) on our servers. Rounding happens on your device before anything is sent.

5. Who else processes your data

These providers act as our processors or as independent controllers of their own infrastructure data. We do not control their systems, and while we choose established providers, we cannot guarantee their security. See section 9.

6. Automated processing and machine learning

Ready's clothing recommendations are produced by fixed, human-written rules — thresholds for temperature, rain probability, and wind. There is no machine learning model, no profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and your data is never used to train any AI model.

We do run a forecast-accuracy check: we record what the weather service predicted for a coarse area and what actually occurred, to measure how reliable forecasts are. Those records are keyed to an area, not to you, and are never used to change recommendations automatically — any change requires a human to review and approve it.

7. Your rights and how to use them

Depending on where you live — including under Ecuador's Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos Personales and the California Consumer Privacy Act — you have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and to object to processing.

The fastest way to exercise deletion is in the app: open Settings and choose Delete my data. This immediately removes every record tied to your installation ID from our database, cancels any scheduled reminders, and clears local storage on your device.

For access, correction, portability, or any other request, email damianjcordova@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Because Ready has no accounts, we may need you to provide your installation ID (shown in Settings) to locate your records — we cannot identify you any other way, and we will not ask you for additional identifying documents.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

8. Retention

We keep pilot data for as long as the pilot is running, and for no longer than 12 months after collection, after which it is deleted or aggregated so it can no longer be linked to a device. You can delete your data sooner at any time from Settings.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored by Supabase with encryption at rest. Database access requires a server-side key that is never present in the app you run; row-level security is enabled on every table, with no public access policies. Access to production data is limited to the operator named in section 1.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security. We do not warrant that our providers' systems will never be breached. If a breach affects your data, we will notify affected users and any required authority as the law requires.

10. Children

Ready is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used Ready, contact us and we will delete the data.

11. International transfers

Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. We rely on those providers' standard contractual protections for such transfers.

12. Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and surface a notice in the app. Continuing to use Ready after a change means you accept the updated policy.
